The You and Europe Scholarship 2025 presents an exceptional opportunity for European students to pursue a master’s degree in Germany while fostering cross-cultural understanding and collaboration. This program, jointly organized by the German Academic Scholarship Foundation and the Alfred Toepfer Stiftung FVS, is now open for applications. The scholarship aims to bring together socially engaged young leaders from across Europe to promote unity, tolerance, and respect for cultural diversity.
This prestigious scholarship is available to students from 18 European countries, including Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, France, Georgia, Italy, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Switzerland, Spain, and Turkey. The program is open to those planning to enroll in a master’s degree program in Germany starting in the fall of 2025, with no restrictions on the academic discipline, except for visual and performing arts, design, film, and music. Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence, placing among the top 10-15% of their class, and showcase a strong interest in European issues. Fluency in English is required, though knowledge of German is not necessary.
Recipients of the scholarship will receive financial support tailored to their needs, with monthly funding ranging from €300 to €1,112, along with additional benefits such as health insurance and family allowances. The scholarship also offers access to annual network meetings focused on European issues, exclusive educational programs like the Europe Academy, and peer mentorship to help students settle into their new academic environment in Germany.
Applications for You and Europe scholarships are open until March 31, 2025, with nominations required by March 15, 2025. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for online interviews in June 2025. The scholarship begins with an inaugural meeting in Hamburg in November 2025, followed by regular gatherings aimed at fostering collaboration and addressing challenges facing Europe.
This program is more than just financial aid—it is an opportunity to join a network of like-minded individuals dedicated to shaping a cohesive and inclusive Europe. Students interested in this life-changing opportunity are encouraged to apply and take the first step toward academic and cultural enrichment in Germany.
