Schloss Fellowship Funding Benefits
Fellows selected for the 2026 residency at Schloss Wiepersdorf will enjoy:
- Free room and board at the inspiring Schloss Wiepersdorf estate.
- €1,200 monthly stipend during the 3-month residency.
- One-time material cost grant of €480 (prorated if residency is shortened).
- Studio space for fine arts fellows (subject to availability).
- Visa fee coverage for applicants from countries that require a visa to Germany.
- Collaborative fellowship option, which includes accommodations for co-creators actively involved in the project.
- Accessible facilities, including a barrier-free flat and park access.
Who’s Eligible?
This prestigious fellowship is open to both German and international applicants who meet the following criteria:
- You are working in one of the eligible fields:
- Literature (fiction, poetry, screenwriting, translation, etc.)
- Fine Arts (painting, photography, sculpture, media arts, etc.)
- Composition & Sound Design
- Humanities Research focused on Romanticism or the division of East & West Germany
- You’ve completed a degree, are enrolled in a doctoral or master-class program, or have equivalent professional experience.
- You can provide high-quality work samples or publications.
- You have proficiency in German or English (basic German is helpful for on-site participation).
- You have not been awarded a Schloss Wiepersdorf fellowship in the last two (02) years.
Note: Bachelor-level students and past fellows (within the last 2 years) are not eligible.
