The Rhode Island Environmental Education Association (RIEEA) has announced its 2025 Environmental Studies Scholarships for students pursuing degrees related to the environment. The program celebrates young leaders with a passion for environmental justice, conservation, education, climate change solutions, and sustainability. This year, RIEEA will award two scholarships of $2,000 per year (up to $8,000 total) and two scholarships of $1,000 per year (up to $4,000 total), renewable for up to four years of study.
Students can enrolled in or applying to colleges or universities for undergraduate or associate degrees are eligible. Acceptable fields of study include environmental studies, sciences, and education. Applicants must submit their applications by January 27, 2025, with finalists participating in interviews by early March. Winners will be notified on April 1 and celebrated at a workshop and dinner on April 30.
