The Ocean University of China (OUC) has announced its fully funded OUC-CSC Scholarship for the September 2025 intake, offering a transformative opportunity for international students to pursue master’s and doctoral degrees in one of China’s most esteemed institutions. The OUC-CSC Scholarship provides comprehensive financial coverage to ensure that students can fully focus on their academic endeavors. It includes full tuition coverage, free on-campus accommodation in twin-sharing rooms, and a monthly living stipend of 3,000 RMB for master’s students and general visiting scholars, and 3,500 RMB for PhD students and advanced visiting scholars. Eligibility for the scholarship is open to non-Chinese citizens who are in good health, both physically and mentally. Applicants must demonstrate strong academic backgrounds, with bachelor’s degrees required for master’s programs and master’s degrees for doctoral programs. Age limits are set at 35 years for master’s applicants (born after January 1, 1990) and 40 years for doctoral candidates (born after January 1, 1985). Language proficiency requirements vary based on the medium of instruction, with Chinese-taught programs requiring HSK Level 4 with a score of at least 180, and English-taught programs requiring IELTS scores of 5.5 or higher, TOEFL scores of 80 or higher, or equivalent certifications. Applicants who have previously studied in English or completed education in an English-speaking country for at least one year are also eligible.
The application process is designed to be straightforward, comprising two key steps. First, candidates must complete an online application via the Campus China portal using OUC’s agency number 10403 and select the Type B scholarship. Additionally, an admission application must be submitted through the Ocean University of China’s dedicated admissions portal https://sie.ouc.edu.cn/english/2024/1202/c18044a490058/page.htm. Second, applicants must ensure they submit all required documents, including a completed application form, a valid passport copy, notarized academic credentials, language proficiency certificates, a study plan of at least 1,000 words, two recommendation letters, a non-criminal record certificate, and a physical examination form.
