NASA Pennsylvania Space Grant Research Scholarships 2025 Accepting Applications
Exciting news for U.S. undergraduate students passionate about space and science! The University of Pittsburgh’s Department of Physics and Astronomy is now accepting applications for the NASA Pennsylvania Space Grant Consortium Research Scholarship Awards for Fall 2025.
These scholarships, funded by NASA and the Pennsylvania Space Grant Consortium, offer $2,400 each to selected undergraduate students. Awardees will work on a research project under a faculty mentor for about 10 hours per week throughout the semester. In addition to hands-on research experience, students will get the chance to present their findings at public forums, such as the Physics and Astronomy Undergraduate Seminar or the University’s Undergraduate Research Fair.
Who Can Apply?
This opportunity is only open to U.S. citizens. Preference will be given to:
- Students pursuing STEM projects (science, technology, engineering, and math) connected to the NASA Astrophysics Science Directorate.
- Applicants who have not previously received this scholarship.
What You Need to Apply?
Your application should include:
- Your name and email.
- Your faculty mentor’s name, department, and email.
- A 1–2 page research proposal describing your project and its connection to NASA’s Astrophysics goals.
- A recommendation letter from your faculty mentor.
- An official or unofficial transcript.
