Funded Traineeship at EU Delegation to Brazil 2025 – Green and Digital Transitions 2025
Are you a young graduate with a passion for international relations, climate action, and digital transformation? The EU Delegation to Brazil is offering a fully funded traineeship within the “Other EU Policies” Section for six months, from June 2025 to November 2025. This opportunity provides hands-on experience in an international diplomatic environment, particularly in the context of Brazil’s Presidency of COP30.
About the Traineeship
The selected trainee will contribute to the EU-Brazil green and digital transitions agenda, supporting initiatives related to climate action, environment, energy, digital transformation, and research. The “Other EU Policies” Section collaborates closely with various Directorates-General of the European Commission, Brazilian ministries, private sector stakeholders, and EU Member States’ embassies.
Under the mentorship of an experienced Trainee Supervisor, the trainee will develop policy analysis, report drafting, research, and event planning skills, while gaining insight into EU diplomatic work.
Main Responsibilities
- Researching and reporting on Brazilian climate, environmental, energy, and digital policies.
- Assisting in the organization of COP30-related events and briefings.
- Attending and reporting on conferences, meetings, and seminars.
- Providing logistical support for EU Delegation visits and events.
- Supporting daily tasks within the “Other EU Policies” Section.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- A university degree in a relevant field.
- Fluency in English and Portuguese (spoken and written).
- Strong analytical, drafting, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated interest in climate, energy, or digital policies (experience in these fields is an asset).
- Previous experience in Brazil or Latin America is advantageous.
