Chang’an University CSC Scholarship 2025-2026
Chang’an University has opened applications for the prestigious Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) for the 2025-2026 academic year. This fully funded scholarship is an excellent opportunity for international students looking to pursue undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral studies in one of China’s leading universities.
The scholarship offers a range of benefits, including full tuition coverage, free on-campus accommodation, a monthly living allowance, and comprehensive medical insurance. The monthly stipend varies depending on the level of study, with bachelor’s students receiving RMB 2,500, master’s students RMB 3,000, and doctoral students RMB 3,500.
To be eligible, applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health. Bachelor’s applicants should hold a high school diploma and be under 25 years old. Master’s applicants need a bachelor’s degree and must be under 35, while doctoral applicants should have a master’s degree and be under 40. Language proficiency requirements include HSK Level 4 or 5 for Chinese-taught programs, and TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo scores for English-taught programs. Applicants from English-speaking countries or those with prior education in English may be exempt from submitting language certificates.
The application period is divided into two batches. The first batch runs from November 1, 2024, to February 20, 2025, and is open to all majors. The second batch, from February 21 to March 31, 2025, is limited to five specific fields: Transportation Engineering, Logistic Engineering and Management, Geological Resources and Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Business Administration. It is highly recommended to apply during the first batch as it offers more slots, and applications not selected in the first round will automatically roll into the second.
The application process involves two steps: submitting an application through the CSC portal and applying directly on the Chang’an University platform https://ies.chd.edu.cn/en/2024/1031/c8889a246603/page.htm. Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of RMB 600 and upload necessary documents, such as academic transcripts, recommendation letters, a research proposal, and a motivation letter. For master’s and Ph.D. applicants, obtaining a conditional acceptance letter from a university supervisor is essential.
Chang’an University will notify candidates of their selection by March 31, 2025, for the first batch and May 31, 2025, for the second. Final results will be published by June 30 and July 31, respectively. Successful candidates will receive admission notices and visa application forms in July or August, depending on the batch.
