It provides funding for research visits at renowned European institutions, allowing selected fellows to work closely with their hosts on well-defined mathematical projects. Additionally, the program includes an opportunity to record an 8-hour mathematics mini-course, contributing valuable resources to future generations of learners.

Fellowship Benefits

Fellows must stay in Europe for a minimum of five (5) weeks to conduct research, plus an additional one (1) week to record their mathematics mini-course.
Who Can Apply?
To qualify for the CIMPA-ICTP Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Applicant Requirements:

- Must have obtained a PhD in mathematics at least three years ago.
- Must have been employed at one or more academic institutions in a developing country for the past five years.
- Must be willing to record an 8-hour mathematics mini-course during their stay.
2. Host Requirements:

- The host researcher must hold a PhD in mathematics.
- The host institution must be located in one of the following European countries:
- Germany
- Spain
- France
- Italy
- Netherlands
- Norway
- Switzerland
- The host must provide a supporting letter, which is a crucial component of the application process.
