96 PhD Scholarships at Politecnico di Torino 2025 Open

The Politecnico di Torino (PoliTo), Italy, has officially opened its Call for Applications for the 41st PhD Cycle—inviting talented international students to apply for fully-funded and reserved PhD positions across multiple disciplines.

What’s Included in the PhD Funding Package?

PoliTo offers an attractive and competitive scholarship package to PhD candidates and each of these scholarships includes:

  • Monthly stipend (approx. €1,200–€1,350)
  • Tuition fee waiver
  • Research funds and conference support
  • Access to international collaborations and high-tech research labs

In the first session of the 41st cycle, at least 96 fully funded PhD scholarships are available, and more may be added leading up to the application deadline.


Who is Eligible?

To be eligible, you must:

  • Hold (or be about to obtain) a Master’s degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
  • Have a strong academic background and research interest in the programme applied for.
  • Meet any additional requirements specified in the individual PhD programme information sheets.
  • For reserved positions, provide proof of sponsorship or eligibility under the respective categories.

Additional positions, including apprenticeships and scholarships reserved for government-funded students, are updated every Tuesday and Friday. So, check the platform regularly for new additions!

PoliTo also provides reserved positions for:

  • International students with government or public body scholarships
  • Research Fellows
  • Refugee students under the PoliTo for Refugees Project
  • Candidates from specific international partnerships and boards.

Application Process

Applying is simple and fully online through the Apply@PoliTo platform https://www.polito.it/en/education/phd-programmes-and-postgraduate-school/admissions-to-phd-programmes/admissions/call-for-applications. But make sure you follow the correct timeline, as applications are split into two sessions:
